DLWCS Recognizes Educators
The Diverse Learners & Whole Child Support team continues its monthly recognition program to celebrate the educators and support staff who make a real difference in students' lives every day.
The program invites administrators and peers to nominate colleagues who consistently go above and beyond in their work. Recipients receive a self-care kit and personalized note, hand-delivered by a DLWCS team member — a simple but meaningful way to say thank you.

Recent honorees include:
December: Steffanie Pernacott (PT/OT/ART) for her dedication to 1:1 support and the Model Classroom initiative
January: Ryan Britton (Lead Intervention Specialist) for forward-thinking SDI data practices and quiet leadership
February: Samantha Heedy (Social Worker) for creating restorative programs and championing student wellness
March: Julia Thomas (MDILC Paraprofessional) for innovative problem-solving and unwavering dedication to students
This initiative is part of a broader effort by Executive Director L'Taundra Everhart to build a culture where great work is noticed and appreciated. Because the people who support our diverse learners deserve to be supported, too.
If you see these honorees while you are out in buildings, please be sure to congratulate them and thank them for going above and beyond for our students!
